With Captain Barbara back at the helm again, and soon to begin diving next weekend, I was happy to receive a demotion to First Mate and let her guide us out to Scripps Canyon and Wreck Alley today under cold gray skies and choppy seas.

Guardian of the Reef
The Guardian of the Reef is due to be cast soon. The first of five castings will go to San Diego to be put on display in the bay area for an undetermined time. Then it will be installed in it's final location at a depth of 60 - 100 ft
Tanks for Reefs
At the close of the Cold War Era a program called Reef-Ex was created as a joint military operation that was designed to provide obsolete war tanks and vehicles for reef construction
